Using Diet (https://modrinth.com/mod/diet) will allow for the current player-facing food mechanics to be maintained while fixing a compatibility issue. This opportunity should also be used to migrate the current system away from using effects to using attribute modifiers so that the food system doesn't step on the toes of the potions system.

Diet is currently missing the ability to have repetitive if dietarily sufficient foods become less useful if overused. This largely prevents it from being useful, as most complex foods provide sufficiently distinct ingredients to work. As a result of this, Diet would perform worse in most cases than Spice of Life: Apple Pie Edition, with the exception of being more compatible with Cuisine Delight. Furthermore, the manner in which it would be compatible is by making it so that the meals from Cuisine Delight would count as eating the each ingredient, which doesn't make them particularly worthwhile to use regardless. Given that the point of this was to make the meals from Cuisine Delight viable when cooked well, this doesn't really help. Consequently, it seems like it makes more sense to just give them custom assigned values in Spice of Life, as this would also apply equally to improperly cooked and properly cooked meals.
